BCOA Passings . . .


Long-time Basenji advocate and BCOA member, Mary Lou Kenworthy,
of Kenset Basenjis, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017.

One of Mary Lou's proudest accomplishments was that CH Kenset's Wayfarer From Asbah Fch (Prune) seen here is still the atop the BCOA Stud Dog Performance Honor Roll with 20 Field Champions. Mary Lou always loved lure coursing.

Mary Lou was the author of several publications including - Basenjis: Everything about History, Purchase, Care, Training, and Health , A complete Pet Owners Manual, Basenji ; Understanding the Practical Applications of Genetics.


Iris M. Craven passed away on 26 December 2017. She was a life-time member of BCOA
and a founding member and past-president of Mid Atlantic Basenji Club. Iris was voted a
Life Time Member of the Basenji Club of America at the annual meeting in September,
during the National Specialty at Purina Farms.

Mary Langula passed away on 26 December, 2017. Mary owned and trained the only basenji ever to get a UDX2 and has worked with her basenjis for years. Her husband Gary's Corneal Benjamin also had a UD.
