In Memoriam

Wolf Kahn

Miles McEnery Gallery, "March 15 - Wolf Kahn | 1927 - 2020

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Wolf Kahn.

Wolf died peacefully early this morning, at the age of 92.

His kindness, humor, intellect, and friendship will be deeply missed."

Sort of seeped in memories of this lovely man who passed. Wolf Kahn. What a wonderful painter he was. Here's a drawing he made in 1964 when he and Emily Mason visited me outside of Firenze.

Merengue

To our friends: I make a living using words, yet I don't even know where to begin.
During what should have been a routine veterinary dental procedure,
we lost our Merengue, after just celebrating her 9th birthday.
She went into cardiac arrest under anesthesia, was brought back, then crashed...they worked on her for nearly half an hour before giving up. The entire vet clinic was in tears, including the vet.

We are devastated, none more than Richard--she was his shadow, his "bud," since she came to us at 10 weeks old. We're still trying to cope--she was so vibrant and healthy and part of us; it's is such a shock.
Here's my favorite photo of her, at about 13 weeks old.
She was the proverbial "puppy," still looked like one, and never grew up.
Go in peace, little girl. Denise Como
