Banner - "Banner" Ch. Klassic's Red White and Baroo 11-5-1998 to 10-22-2012
My Banner passed today. He was lying on a blanket in the living room with all of
us around him getting ready for school. It wasn't unexpected, of course. He was
a few weeks from 15 and a couple of months ago, we'd found out he had cancer. We
had an appointment at the vet today to release him.
He was my second basenji, coming here to live with our first, Sky, when he was
eight weeks old. He was extremely sweet (although he'd nip the air if you
stepped on him and if your leg or butt was in the way -- well, you get the
picture) he was an incorrigible food thief, never missed a chance to get in the
garbage or right on the table. He wasn't a lap sitter, but he would follow me
from room to room and lie near me. Even as sore as he was, he was gentle and
tolerant of my brother-in-law's toddler.
There really aren't words to say how special he was or how much I will miss him.

Bayleaf
We had to say goodbye to our rabbit Bayleaf today. He brought a lot of love and smiles to our family for 11 years.
He was a really great bunny.
He is now joined in Heaven with our other rabbits Entei, Blackberry and Sunnecu.
