In Memoriam

Don Lunetta

Donald Michael Lunetta, Sr., January 10, 1940 - July 15, 2016

My grandfather passed away recently after a heroic battle with brain cancer. Not many of my friends have met him, but to know me, is to know him. My grandfather has been my mentor, father figure, sense of humor role model, avid advice giver and overall one of my best friends. He has always been there for me, influencing the person I am today and I feel eternally grateful for him and all that he's taught me.He once told me "Don't dwell on perfection, it's the imperfections in life that makes things beautiful." This has always stuck with me and helped me view the world through a lens of awe, wonder and appreciation. He was a generous, kind, funny and loving man. He taught me about the beauty of the natural world, the science behind it and how to be an overall good person, always with love in his heart. He has helped me walk through life and I know he will always be walking beside me no matter where I go. Meiko Lunetta

"Keep on the sunny side of life."

Michael passed away in his sleep, with his two dogs there with him. A neighbor
had the police open the door to check on him. The 11 year old littermates are safe,
and have been transported back to their breeder, Cindy Griswold,in Texas.

Bridget

Bridget ~ March 24, 2003 - July 18, 2016

Heaven gained a red brindle angel on July 18th. Wishing desperately right now that the Rainbow Bridge allowed visitors. Love and peace to all. Patty Ewing

Holley

16 August 2016

Holley, my beloved friend. Lotta Ollson

Lotta - The mailwoman, "Something fun must have happend recently. Have you gotten married or something?
You have been getting a lot of mail from all over the world?"
Me, "No our dog has died".
The mailwoman, " What? Well.... "
You should have seen her face.
Me, "She was a bit famous on fb"
Mailwoman, "Ooookey. ... " And she drove off.
I think she's still thinking about if we dog people are all crazy.

Benji

Cybele saying goodbye to her nearly 5 year companion.

I got him out of the shelter in July 2000.
He was a mess. I was told me to tie him to my waist till he was house trained.
He became my shadow for over 16 years. He was such a clown - he would do all sorts of funny
things to make me laugh. He adored Cybele and she loved him a lot-
she would clean his eyes as he got old, did it even today (19 Oct.). Hepi Armen

Titus

Titus - Sept 6th = It is with a heavy heart that I tell you we lost our precious Titus on Tuesday.
He had massive internal bleeding probably due to a burst mass on his spleen.
It all happened so quickly and he went to sleep peacefully in my arms. I am devastated.

He almost made it to 15. I was hoping for more time, as they never live long enough. Susan Wellington

Luna

July 21

Today Luna's spirit left her body. Luna was 16 years old and my "sweet girlie".
It was a horrible decision for me to make, but her health has been failing.
She was weak and having frequent seizures. She could barely walk and had no quality of life left.
Luna had a very loving disposition. I will miss the 'tiny kisses' that she bestowed on me with just the tip of her tongue. She had struggled with diabetes for over 4 years, been blind for 3 yrs, but managed very well.
She was a fighter, tough as nails but sweet as sugar.
I will miss you forever, my dear Luna, until we meet again...you will always be in my heart. Susan Hendler

Ridley

Susan Cook's Ridley passed away after a long life, but it's never long enough.
