Warren is my first "thrower!"  He loves to throw things -especially stuffed toys.  He will shake them very vigorously, then let 'em fly - and watch they go sailing.  You never know when Warren will decide to "practice his pitching" - one minute you are innocently watching The Food Network after a long day, and the next thing you know you've got Mr. Mirkitty (a favorite "tossing" toy) rocketing through the air, taking out your glasses and landing in your drink!

Gotta love 'em, though - the entertainment never ceases!

Came upon this quote on a friend's website. . .
Dogs are our link to Paradise.
They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent.
To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden
Where doing nothing was not boring-
It was peace.

Yay! Before my move, during the walk through, the landlord says, "Did the dogs damage anything?" I said "They care more about my old socks and dirty underwear than drywall or wood."
I'm getting my deposit back! Yay!

If Tutsi came inside with a bone it was a constant chase to try and get her to stay on one of her sheets to consume the bone. Naturally, she just didn't "get" why she could eat it by the fire, on the chair, under the table etc. She always moved her bones so that the leopards (which only she could see) that live in the back yard wouldn't pinch them from her.

Laser is the boo-boo dog, always has been, not just cuts and scrapes but the first time I came home from work with a migraine after I got him as a puppy, he lay curled tight beside me on the bathroom floor and cleaned my eyes while I was sick. He also takes very good care of the cats when they come in with scrapes and cuts.

My husband Pete had some heart problems, but is doing great. Walking Joe on his mile-long hikes probably has helped him a lot. Joe’s become my bear alert. When we walk in the mornings, if he smells one his hackles go up & he wants to head home immediately, with record speed. It lets me look at the sun rise.

Don’t know what we’d do without him.

Dasa sometimes gets so sleepy she needs to be carried upstairs to bed, her little eyelids fluttering only a bit as I climb the stairs. I smile when I think about how Dasa curls up in a little ball and sleeps next to me. She manages, somehow, to get through the night without feeling the need to get up and clamber back and forth over sleeping humans like another little dog we know.  Her little pink tongue curls up when she yawns, and she looks so sleepily befuddled when she’s thinking about waking up in the morning.

Ivan loves to shred books. Dasa occasionally assists in paper annihilation by holding magazines between her dainty paws and shredding them into teensy pieces. We put baby gates in front of the bookcases, but Ivan moved the baby gates and pulled books off the shelves to entertain himself.  We finally learned to weight the baby gates with chairs. A few months ago we were watching a movie set in Japan with rice-paper houses. Eric said if our house were made of paper, we’d soon be homeless. Ivan would eat us out of house and home.

I do not ever leave shoes or socks down. Joe still has not learned after 25 yrs - the back of all his running shoes have been Trogged.

This cracks me up! Dana heard Kees' voice over the speakerphone, and now she's on the look out before the window and running towards the door.
Poor thing, it'll be at least another hour before he's home.

Bakari shreds bills. It’s ok if I've already paid them, & not so great if I haven't. Every time I think I have them out of sight, she manages to find them! Amazing little critters!

Happy 11th b-day to Kunjo. Hope for many more buddy, but really could do with less mischievousness. Just this morning: carpet scratching for attention (so far no holes at this house...), catch-me-if-you-can at walk time ("keep-away" prior to walking for 11 years), then my chap-stick chewed to pieces on his dog bed (I don't think he likes the taste so much as the crunchiness). Thanks for all the laughs Kunjo!
