Dagmar Herhoffer: This is our dear old lady Nevina.  She came to us when she was twelve years old as a retired show basenji. She had puppies too.  Here in her new home she had the opportunity to go to the university together with my daughter and this year in march Nevina got her "Bachelor of dog.“  One of Nevina's daughters is in Berlin at the university.  Isn't this the proof that basenjis are the most intelligent dogs?

In the photo you see Nevina at the age of fourteen lying in the shadow of the big trees in the garden of a very old mill where we had lunch.  Now Nevina is fifteen. She's still healthy and full of her own humor like every old basenji.
