Welcome to Nutriscan - Dog Food Sensitivity Kit

NutriScan is our novel patented diagnostic test based on saliva, which can reveal the latent or pre-clinical form of food sensitivity or food intolerance. Our test panels are for the most common allergens, and now include 20 allergens set up in 2 seperate panels.

NutriScan should not be confusued with other tests on serum or feces. They are not comparable.

Dr. Jean Dodds has introduced NutriScan, a novel, patented food intolerance and canine food sensitivity testing system. This assay system utilizes an important new approach in nutrition - that salivary diagnostics can more accurately identify the foods to be avoided rather than focus on those less like to be reactive.

Dr. Dodds' revolutionary concept is the first food intolerance and sensitivity testing program to match pets with their individual nutritional needs and genetic makeup, i.e. functional nutrition or nutrigenomics. This provides owners with accurate information to select the optimal pet foods and treats based on high level nutritional principles.

The new NutriScan saliva screening diagnostics should be used annually by dog owners. This canine food sensitivity and intolerance diagnostic system tests saliva for food reactant antibodies in healthy dogs and those with known or suspected food intolerance. Dog owners can obtain the test kit from Hemopet or through their veterinarians. After following directions, adding saliva, the kit is sealed and sent to Hemopet for analysis.

Testing protocols areincluded for gluten and other primary dietary food ingredient intolerance and sensitivity.

New for 2011 are our On Line Test Request Form and the Doctor Client Zone access to the HEMOLIFE laboratory data, whereby clients can directly access their own account and their laboratory data.

Samples can be mailed to us at Hemopet. The mailing needs to be in a protected package or envelope. No refrigeration is necessary, and the saliva sample is viable for up to 30 days; however we do recommend that the sample should arrive at Hemopet within 10 days of being taken."

Our testing for the 20 food antigens is structured in two panels of 10 antigens each. You can order either or both panels electronically by clicking the Test Request Form on the left.

Our test measures IgA and IgM antibodies in saliva rather than IgE and IgG antibodies in serum or feces. NutriScan identifies true clincially relevant food senstivities and intolerances that affect the animal on an ongoing and long term basis. Please see our FAQs for more details
