Just thought I would share this moment with you after the training round table article.

How can you tell that you relationship building with your basenjis is working?

They want to sit next to you so badly that they end up creating a living basenji totem pole.  Here I am on the couch with Nicky next me and Rio perched on my shoulder.  Sophie walks over also wanting to share in some "mom" time so she hops up then carefully positions herself on top of Nicky.  Rio seeing that Sophie is now in prime position to act as a headrest slides off my shoulder and on top of her sister but is careful to maintain contact with me.  Rally stares at them all from the empty second couch, clearly thinking they are all insane, and don’t they know they could sit on the coffee table on the other side?
