Don't you just hate it when those forward guys steal a kiss on the first date? (Archived photos -Fern- from late 2008) …………………..…………………………….……..............…JOE STEWART

Susan Kamen Marsicano M would just French kiss dogs she needed to charm, which Joe's 2nd photo seems to show.

Andrea Stone -  Regan likes IWs. She thinks they are nifty.

Karen Christensen - My guys also adore our local IWs, who get down-down for them or are kind enough to breathe warmly on them when it's chilly. And yes, Fern did go right up to this one and schlurp him.

Lotte Hotaling - She has a look that Bingo used to get, we called it "pooky". But the IW is at least making itself small.

FROM OUR FACEBOOK PAGE

Jackie Dering Loved the issue. Particularly liked the piece on finding lost dogs. When your dog goes missing is not the time to figure this out.

Karen Sahulka Great issue, good job, Susan!

Susan Kamen Marsicano Thanks, Karen Sahulka, for being our proof reader in chief.

Karen Sahulka Thank YOU, Susan!

Karen Christensen very enjoyable -- but one typo, probably mine in the original post: Laser's fuzzy buddy's name is Woollie.

Susan Kamen Marsicano Fixed that.

Karen Christensen Yay thanks! We all love him.

Jo Myers Thompson Especially nice! Love it! Thank you for another fantabulous issue.

Deborah Joslin Love it!

Hi Susan,

Well - I finally made my way through the August wrinkler.

Chock full of fun and information, it takes me a while to give it its due. Loved the quote of the year by Bob Kamen and the section on training with treats. Both made me giggle out loud! Thanks for another stellar edition.

Oh, the irony. The chewed Sandicast basenji statue...and the sleepy culprit. Sigh! Apparently, Sammy Jo thought it needed improving.

ABOUT HANNAH
Some 9 months pictures and notes, repeats for those on facebook.

Hannah says GOOD MORNING, giggle giggle! Such a sweet baby, starting to scoot (not crawling, but rolling all over & scooting a little). She's 9mths actual, 6mths adjusted (i.e. if not born early).

The dogs make her squeal with delight & she's happy almost all the time.

I made a very special "donation" to Mothers Milk Bank of NE a few weeks ago, as ahemm, we have a bit more than needed... Hannah was so tiny for so long & didn't take much to fill her belly, since she was just using pumped milk in deep freeze from Apr! I figured best to donate a few months worth. Makes me feel good. the local NICUs use this donor milk bank for babies in need.

First time Obike really played with her. He wanted a new toy I had just handed her. After much doggie racing around & much baby screeches of delight, Obike finally got the toy.

Hannah so wants to be able to crawl to follow the dogs. She's not quite there but she can spin quickly to watch them run around her.

And last a note about how she's enjoying her new food: The Culver side are the excellent cooks & Hannah seems all Culver in her taste for French food. We had been giving her plain single purée (just plums or just roasted sweet potato etc) or baby cereal. Perfectly fresh and homemade purees but pretty boring. Each new fruit/veg was icky face on first bite, little less icky face 2nd bite, then she'd eat. Harry made lamb curry a la French chef recently (Julia Childs Kitchen). Hannah was starring at us. I told Harry to give her a taste of the sauce; red wine, curry, thyme & rich lamb flavor. She loved it on first bite! Harry was surprised but I wasn't. Then I think she glared at me as if "you knew daddy could cook like this & you've been feeding me baby cereal!" I guess high time for more interesting purées.
