NOTEABLE QUOTABLES Page 1 <contents > <next page>

Tamara Allen

The easiest way to find something lost around the house is to buy a replacement.

My crunchy whole wheat roll & butter & marmalade was on the table, while I was collating a RVW club mailing, & Liner grabbed it, & headed under the daybed. I turned away, accepting it as lost. (to me) In a snap, Scarlet brought it to me, basically looking as if it never touched the ground. Aunt Scarlet!

Uschi Grewe

Ibou & Lela were bored in the couple (brace) class.

Jackie Dering

The Game of Thrones scene where Daenerys locked up her dragons reminded me of trying to crate train Harley.

Our boy, Caesar the basenji, just flushed out a small flock of turkeys. There was chaos, squawking and feathers flying everywhere. I think a few ended up in the trees. Our boy? He strutted away with a BIG GRIN on his face. He said, AND THAT is how you do it.

Yvonne 't Manetje

It is true what they say, the black/white basenji's are MUCH more naughty then the reds, even more then the tri's? If only my eyes could film or make photos.

Lola says, "they are playing my song, whatever Lola wants ..... Lola gets".

Well, still missing, 1 shoe. Found lingerie, socks and cleaning towels in her basket. A shoe of Kees in the window. She stole food in the camper - was hanging on the curtains in the camper because I was outside and she was not. She is a good jumper, jumps up high on kennels, side tables etc. to wipe them clean. She's almost on the kitchen table (note to self - keep chairs very close to table). She also finds joy in taking a run, and then with a big jump, landing on a person's legs and starting to yodel.

Annechien Smith

My Polly has to be denied access from chairs from around 2 m from the table as she will walk around everywhere on top of tables and work surfaces. Her grandma Lizzy used to stand on her hind legs in the kitchen and swipe the tops with her front paw, hoping something would fall.

Polly still loves shoes, glasses, books, or whatever. If there is a chair nearby, Polly will climb up and jump and get it. I've forgotten about most of her wonderful naughty actions. Only the most recent stay in my mind. Clara used to be able to steal anything of your plate whilst you were eating and you did not notice it until you looked down and found it gone.

Polly high above the canyon with griffon vultures the soaring above.

Rip just threw a glass baking dish at my feet - trotting to the office from the kitchen where the crew was cleaning it. Good thing he showed up as I was about to say how mellow and sweet my brindle is...

Myrthe Oskamp Schreuder

The Basenji...an ancient breed.

Slowly but surely the basenji approaches its prey.
The attack is sudden and fierce...
The carrot hardly noticed it is preyed upon...

Ashley Pistorio

The baby is getting more travel-savvy. Use the oldest as a pillow. Raven and Bella.

Mia Löwbeer

Dog in tree - Basenji, the mix between dog, cat and monkey.

Lotte Hotaling

Our back porch: platform, step down, platform, then 5 steps down. This morning Aichia stumbled and missed the first step down, then launched herself off the platform, spread-eagled like a flying squirrel, landed in a heap, got up, jumped over the 8" threshold and ran off. I want to be like this when I'm in my 90s!! Geez, that little old girl never fails to amaze me.

THROWING SOCKS

Andrea Stone: Regan just threw a dirty sock in my face. It's so her. And from across the room, even.

See Much More About Socks, on Page 11.

Robert Stamper: She's just saying " keep them off the frocking floor!"

Andrea Stone: Then she needs to talk to her daddy!

Karla Kraus Schreiber: She must never be bred to Warren. unless you want a litter that might be scouted as pitchers by minor league baseball teams! LOL! That boy can fling with the best of them.

Jackie Dering: Mysti used to fling fuzzy toys onto the dinner table, and into our dinner. I knew because they came back with food on them.
