As the Tail Turns

Potassium Bromide & Seizures/by Therese Liemback

Hi Susan,

A while back you recommended this for a dog friends of mine, they emailed me today and their boy has been on this and slowly discontinuing the phenobarbital.  He has been seizure free for 8 weeks and already appears to be more energetic and happy.

Just wanted to share and say thanks for helping make a difference in this boy’s life.

He is a rescue dog that I placed with one of my own dogs a few years ago.  We fostered him and after three unsuccessful placements we discovered he wouldn’t be happy with out the boy he lived here with at my house.  The two are best friends and our boy Stevie warns the family when Cody has a seizure. Stevie is his assistance dog.  They are quite a pair; I think their lives are about to improve.

Thanks again.

Here's a photo of the boys; Cody is the one lying down)
